The opera production of La Traviata is a jewell in the crown that is Sydney Harbour. With a nine metre Swarovski crystal chandelier suspended over an enormous stage that seems itself to float over the water. An openair backdrop of the CBD, Opera House and Harbour bridge-it truly is a spectacular performance. Fireworks accompany the aria and found.syd is so happy she didn’t miss this 12 million dollar production! Costumes by Tess Schofield are delicious. As is the food and wine. But get there early to nab a bar stool and table. Best view in town.
